It has 21 stitches with an easy-dial mechanical stitch selection. Decorative patterns can be sewn up to 6 mm wide. Buttonholes are in a 4-step method and can be any length. Pfaff Smarter 140s offers a range of stretch stitches that are suitable for modern knitted stretch-type fabrics. Using one of the many utility stitches, you will be able to sew Denim; use the blind hem stitch to shorten curtains, the sewing tasks are endless.

Many other sewing machines in this price range have a front oscillating bobbin system, not so with the Pfaff 140s. It has a jam-proof bobbin system that loads from the top and is a full rotary mechanism. The bobbin cover is clear so you can view how much thread is left on the bobbin before starting a long seam. Even threading the needle is no longer a problem, thanks to the built-in auto needle threader.

LED's add light to the 6" wide sewing bed. The sewing bed can store accessories and can also be removed to give access to the sleeve arm. Presser feet can be snapped in place, just like most other Pfaff machines. A huge choice of add-on attachments is available too.

When the need takes you and your creative mind takes over, flick the lever and drop the feed, this will allow fitting an optional foot to do free-motion embroidery or darning. Pfaff smarter 140s can also sew with twin needles for super decorative patterns. It has a high-presser foot lifter enabling thicker materials, even quilted projects with wadding to be sewn.
