It has a computerised brain linked to the new colour touch screen which helps to select stitches quickly and easily. See each stitch live, on-screen, where stitch adjustments can be made quickly and the changes viewed on screen.

With precisely 247 stitch programs, some of the stitches include utility stitches, buttonhole stitches, decorative stitches, quilt, hem, quilt and cross stitches. Other stitch patterns include honeycomb, blind hem, ricrac, overlock stretch, herringbone, applique, stretch blind hem, and gathering. Decorative stitches up to 9 mm wide can be sewn out and the tapering function can be used for even more customisation.

Save alphabet strings to the memory. Alphabets include upper and lower case, as well as numbers, symbols, and punctuation. Snip thread, auto tie-off, and a stop (or end) can be saved into memory with the lettering strings.

Each stitch is pre-programmed with 10 memory slots. You can even save personal stitch settings for individual stitches and recall them later.

This machine also gives you an adjustable stitch length of up to 5.5 mm and an adjustable stitch width of up to 9mm with high-quality patterns.

To keep your work area organized and clean, the Expression 710 gives you an accessory storage compartment with lift-out tray for feet and bobbins. Remove the sleeve arm to work on tubular items, necklines, or cuffs, plus lots of other unique features.

Quick access soft touch buttons show custom settings like needle up/down, automatic or programmable tie-off, sew-slow, start-stop and pattern mirroring functions. At the end of a seam, touch the scissors key to automatically snip the top and bottom threads. There’s no presser foot lever; press the foot up key once to lift the foot, press twice, and the foot will rise even higher. Foot down key to lower, it’s that simple.

It’s a solid and well-made machine with a metal internal chassis. The built-in handle runs across the machine top and is wide enough to lift using two hands if needed.

To keep your top-stitching perfect, the original IDT system precisely feeds all types of fabric from the top and bottom for perfect stitching every time. This unique system prevents your fabric from slipping, causing uneven seams.

It offers 37 needle positions to choose from. It even gives you the option of electronically controlling its speed making it easy for a novice to use whilst sewing free-motion embroidery.
